Update to the Best Buy Hiring Status

So, it's been almost a week now since I had a job interview at Best Buy. When I last left off, the Computer Manager that gave me the interview (Erin Clark), said that the GM (General Manager) would be in the store that following Tuesday or Wednesday of that week (I had the interview with Erin on Sunday). So, Tuesday and Wednesday passed, and I heard nothing from Best Buy. Which means that today is 6 days post interview, and no word yet. So I drove down to Best Buy on a fourth of a tank of gas, the drive being about 30 minutes one way (I live out in the middle of the "country"). I went in, and Erin wasn't in. Well, I couldn't really talk to anyone else about my hiring status, since no one else knew me or my story. While I was in the store, I stopped by the Customer Service counter, where they had constructed a huge "Geek Squad" logo, right above the counter. It was so huge that you could see it from the other side of the store. I asked one of the guys that worked there (behind customer service counter) if they had any kind of information they could give me (handouts, papers, etc..) all about the "Geek Squad". The idiot behind the counter says to me "Ummm, I don't know what that is. Why don't you just go to, um, geeksquad.com?" And then he walked away. If I hadn't been looking for a job there, I would have punched that smart ass in the face. But, I'm trying to get a job at this place, so I had to hold my composure. The reason I want information from them about GeekSquad, is because I'm working to create my own business, doing the EXACT same thing (in-home computer service). My business is called "Geeks2Go", and I have a website in the works for it, too. So, this will be kind of fun, working for Best Buy, and working against Best Buy. It's a win/win situation for me. So, I found out when Erin comes back to work (3PM), and I drove home, waited about 3-4 hours, and when it was 3PM, I called over to Best Buy, and talked to him. He told me the that GM (General Manager) has been out of town, in Minnesota, and that they (I have no idea if the GM is male or female) would be in the store this coming Tuesday or Wednesday, so he told me to call him back Wednesday afternoon (July 7th), and he'll know something to tell me by then. Hopefully it's be good news. All my readers, cross your fingers, please. I need this job. I'll keep everyone posted on the developments as they unfold.
